In fact, a groundbreaking Harvard Business Review survey of senior executives of
from 197 companies world-wide with sales exceeding $500M indicated that these
firms realized less than two thirds of their strategies’ potential and that most of
this loss in potential was due to strategy and alignment related issues.

The foundation of our approach is the belief that a strategy should not be “imagined” but instead should be clearly understood by everyone who has a role in executing it.
When members of the organization are forced to “interpret” what the strategy is and then to translate it to what they do and how they do it organizational performance suffers, often in a significant and sometimes non-recoverable way.
